Steady Leadership for a stronger city
Re-Elect
Todd Krause for Mayor
April 7, 2026
Lake Geneva Legacy
As a resident of Lake Geneva for more than 40 years, Mayor Todd’s commitment to the
community is deeply personal. His history of local advocacy and participation in City Council and various committees and commissions ensure that his leadership is rooted in actual needs and aspirations of the residents who call this city home. Todd and his family have been residents of the Maple Park neighborhood since 1993. Residents and neighborhoods first!
Professional Roots
Mayor Todd brings more than 30 years of varied professional experience. He served 15 years as a high school band director, worked as an EMT-I in a local
ER, and launched two businesses. His public service is demonstrated by his years as 1st District Alderman and involvement with various organizations in the area. These experiences have equipped Todd to collaborate with residents, City Council and staff to lead this great city in the future.
Community-Minded
In his current term as Mayor, Todd has had the opportunity to meet many new business owners at their ribbon cuttings, participate in BID (Business Improvement District) meetings and community events such as Oktoberfest, enjoy Visit Lake Geneva's Winterfest and Electric Christmas Parade, and meet regularly with entities such as the Lake Geneva Schools administrative team and many non-profit organizations that support local causes.
MAYOR TODD's Vision For Lake Geneva
Economic Prosperity
Lake Geneva is at a critical crossroads, where we must consider all options to rebalance our aging population by recruiting younger families with children to live in our city. We know that nationwide, birth rates are now at an unsustainable rate, and we must overcome this to protect the balance of our city. I am committed to work on finding solutions to create appropriate housing, working with state and local groups that advocate for these solutions.
Community Safety
In the coming years, it will be necessary to construct a new police and fire station to meet
growing demands of our community. The current fire station, now 50 years old, no longer adequately serves our needs as we have outgrown its capacity. Updated facilities will help ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and allow for improved emergency response. As Mayor, there is no greater responsibility than to providing exemplary police and fire services to our residents.
Vital Infrastructure
We must continue to invest in critical roadway, utility, and lakefront improvements to honor Lake Geneva’s heritage while ensuring long-term infrastructure excellence. In February of 2027, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will begin a full 2-year reconstruction project of Highway 50 throughout the City of Lake Geneva from Walgreens to Covenant Harbor. In preparation, I assembled a mayor task group in 2024, to meet monthly in preparation for this project.
